The first luncheon was held at the Grand Hotel on the 22nd March 1973 when eighty-five lady captains attended and paid the grand sum of £1.75 for their meal.
On 12th February 1998, President Shirley Booth hosted the AGM & Luncheon that also celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the formation of the Association. The event held at Leicester City Football Club was attended by 212 members including past Presidents of the Association.
Covid-19 severely impacted the Association with very few events being run during 2020 and 2021and fewer ladies participating in events event through 2022.
The 50th Anniversary of the formation of the Association was held on 9th February 2023 when 168 ladies participated in the AGM & Luncheon held at Devonshire Place. Twelve past presidents attended the event including the Shirley Booth who was the host for the 25th anniversary celebration.
